Project Manager for STEM Professional Development
As a Project Manager at Discovery Education’s STEM Academy, I successfully managed workflow for a team of 11 professional development content writers. Over the course of three years, I played a pivotal role in designing and implementing an intensive program that included 18 full-day training sessions for K-12 interdisciplinary educators. My responsibilities involved creating project assignments, reviewing submissions, providing constructive feedback, and refining courses based on participant feedback post-implementation. This experience has equipped with strong leadership and organizational skills essential for driving effective educational initiatives.
Harrisburg STEM Leader Corps Facilitator
In Harrisburg, PA, I partnered closely with a cohort of STEM Leaders and worked with them over a three-year period to develop their teaching practices and visibility as instructional leaders. We met together five times a year for professional development days and I individually coached them in their classrooms. I strive to empower educators with best practices that enhance their teaching methods and foster dynamic learning environment for students. Through collaborative learning and hands-on experiences, I aim to inspire teachers to innovate and effectively incorporate these resources into their classrooms.
Hickman Mills
Curriculum Development
As a curriculum developer, I facilitated the design process for Hickman Mills School District district team in creating a K-12 curricula. I led their summer institute and worked with each grade-level leadership team to analyze their standards, develop their scope and sequence, and use it to create a curriculum that was standards-aligned, incorporated best instructional practices, and assessed.
STEM Camp for Littles
As the director, designer, leader, and facilitator of STEM Camps for Littles, I created an enriching experience for nature and inquiry-based science exploration. I meticulously planned engaging activities foster curiosity and hands-on learning, guiding young minds as they discover the wonders of nature. My role involved not only designing the curriculum but also leading the camps, ensuring a fun and supportive environment for all participants. Together we nurtured a love for science and the natural world in our little explorers!
