My Story

Get to Know Me
For over two decades, I've dedicated my career to transforming STEM education—from the classroom to the district level. As a STEM education consultant, curriculum designer, and instructional coach, I partner with schools and districts across the country to create meaningful, standards-aligned learning experiences that prepare students for the future.
My Background
My journey in education began in the classroom, where I taught high school biology and physical science for seven years at Manheim Township High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As Department Chair, I coordinated budgets, led curriculum discussions, created Authentic Intellectual Performance Task assessments for the district, and helped launch our Stream Study Field Experience for 450+ students.
I continued teaching and coaching at César Chávez Public Charter School in Washington, DC, where I served as Science Instructional Lead Teacher. There, I coached fellow teachers, led a community spaceflight program for 300+ students, developed the Anacostia River Pollution Project, and was named a district finalist for the Shell Science Lab Challenge.
Since 2014, I've worked as a full-time and project-based STEM education consultant, allowing me to expand my impact beyond a single school. I've facilitated over 114 teacher training sessions across 45+ school districts in 15 states, and I continue to develop curriculum and professional development content for educators nationwide.

My Approach

I believe that excellent STEM education starts with excellent educators. When teachers have access to well-designed curriculum, meaningful professional development, and ongoing support, they can create classrooms where students don't just learn science—they think like scientists, ask questions, and see themselves as problem-solvers.
My work is guided by research-based practices, real classroom experience, and a deep commitment to equity and access. Whether I'm designing a kindergarten science unit or coaching high school teachers, I focus on creating learning experiences that are rigorous, relevant, and engaging for all students.

Beyond Consulting
When I'm not working with educators, you'll find me leading STEM Camp for Littles—hands-on science camps for preschoolers that spark curiosity from the earliest ages. I'm also actively involved in my community as a church elder, soccer coach, and longtime volunteer with international partners. I enjoy traveling, skiing, hiking, reading and live with my family outside of Washington, DC.
